Noctis Makeup Tutorial – Patreon Exclusive!
I’m on Patreon!
Check it out!
Completely unplanned, I had my Inquisitor photo shoots EXACTLY one year apart.
However, this time I had company! I had the pleasure of making a Sera (DA:I) cosplay for a good friend of mine. This was her first time in cosplay and honestly, she could not have MADE a better Sera!
We had tons of fun on the shoot, hiking and lots of nonsense. I definitely like shooting with a friend vs just myself. It was a new experience for me and I loved it!
I/we (Bryan and I are tag-teaming the editing this time around) haven’t gotten through the whole batch just yet, so I’ll be uploading them to my “portfolio” page as they’re ready!
Costumes, makeup: me!
Hey! I’m making some changes. This page is now for my cosplaying adventures.
Why this change?
A goal of mine for the new year is to have more of a focus on cosplay in general. It’s one of my favorite things, and truthfully I haven’t been doing as much of it as I would like.
Why is my etsy store perpetually on vacation? Etsy has become really iffy (and expensive) to work with from the seller’s end. I am working on adding a store feature to my actual website, to make stuff like commissions or sticker sales much easier and smoother for YOU.
To sum up – 2017 will have a lot of new fun stuff!
ALSO – be on the lookout – I’m launching a Patreon very soon!
My Noctis cosplay had its debut at….ramen!! It was a ton of fun, and I love Ray’s casual Prompto cosplay sooooo damn much!
Noctis will also be going to Dragon Con! Haven’t decided which day to wear it yet, though.
I am SO RELIEVED to finally be done with this! This took me…forever. And I spent a decent amount of time feeling bummed – like this wasn’t gonna turn out the way I wanted… but seeing it all together has me SO EXCITED!
I will be wearing this Saturday at Dragon Con, and there /might/ be a lil shoot planned between now and then
*poorly made wind sounds*
(please ignore the awful placeholder undershirt- the final one will be dark green and won’t have buttons!)
I disappeared again…whoops. (Be sure to follow my Instagram @batspats for daily updates and cosplay sneak peeks!)
What I’ve been working on:
The wig has been…an experience. I’m still really unhappy with it, but I’ve got plenty of time to work on it so I’m not gonna fret too much. The rest of the costume is pretty much done, minus adding the skull details to the jacket buttons.
Inquisitor Lavellan: Keeper Robe outfit (Dragon Age)
This has been….3, almost 4 months of looooots of stress. 90% of it is HAND-sewn, which I am pretty proud of. (Check out the Process album on my FB for more shots https://www.facebook.com/pg/BatSpatsArt/photos/?tab=album&album_id=832322030243286)
Overall I’m about… 75% done with this.
This is the end-game goal:
Anyway, I’m doing St. Louis Wizard World this weekend!
And hey, I’m resurrecting Harley for Free Comic Book Day at Star Clipper on May 6th!
Bristol Ren Faire in July! (I know, it’s not really a con, but I’m still cosplaying!)
and…dundundun…DRAGON CON in September! So PUMPED!!
Really looking forward to getting back into cons this year! I’ve got some neat stuff in store.
Holiday Mayhem with Sera!
blah blah blah obey me arrow in my face
Decided to do Twelve Days (well…more like Nine Days now) of Christmas Cosplay on a whim! I posted a poll to Twitter and Facebook and the excitement over the “surprise” option got me so stoked that I FINALLY took this wig out of the box and styled it! Sera’s a lot of fun and I really look forward to doing more with this costume.
And – holy heckin CATS the response to this has been overwhelming. Thanks everyone for the kind words and post shares!
